TIME TO DANCE! King Solomon wrote in the Book of Ecclesiastes 3, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to DANCE.” So don’t miss it!
Sometimes we need to get with Family/Friends & just have good wholesome FUN. However, the busyness of life takes the wind from our sails. There is a part of us as humans that need to be ENTERTAINED. I don’t want to be misunderstood; so allow me to clarify. I don’t compromise my walk with God & I don’t mix my devotion/worship time with my entertainment. I simply believe God wants us to have enough “BALANCE” in our lives to make time for FUN! Please don’t judge me with your “religious” spirit & pouty face.
Many in CHURCH walk around without a smile in their faces & too fanatical (no Joy). This is one of the many reasons why so many people do not come to church. They hate dealing with unhappy, gloomy & miserable looking church folks.
God has given me a gift to be able to “BALANCE” things based on priorities (God, Health, Family, Work/School/Ministry & Hobbies) making decisions easier to make. He’s also allowed me to be a “keep it real” person despite the storms & spiritual warfares of life.
In conclusion, I thank Jehovah God of Israel who has a sense of humor & who is cool with His children having good, plain & simple fun. Don’t feel guilty getting some R&R & having some FUN. Don’t be “so deep” with your stuffy religious self that you might not be able to come up for air & suffocate spiritually. JESUS performed His first miracle at a wedding & I’m sure He had some good clean fun (Disco wasn’t around back then, but Jewish songs were). I’m sure He wasn’t uptight, I’m certain He needed a break & I’m convinced He welcomed the FUN. Don’t be so religious that you miss out on your time to DANCE. Selah @PastorHeryAlonso (Instagram)
